Karen Mcnamara is a full time dance teacher from Dublin. She first started dancing at the age of 4 and soon caught ‘the bug’. She grew up dancing in various stage schools across Dublin.
After finishing school she completed her professional training at the College of Dance Monkstown and Stella Mann performing arts college, London. Since returning home she has worked professionally in many different productions and shows throughout Ireland, including being a member of the Leinster rugby cheerleading team performing in the Aviva stadium, The dance emergency documentary shown on rte, and ensemble cast member in Evita the musical in the Bord Gais energy theatre.
Her main passion however is for teaching dance. Karen has taught dance full time to adults and children of all ages for the past 5 years. She loves sharing her passion for dance with all kinds of people. She worked 2 summers ago in New York at a summer camp teaching dance and again last summer at a camp in Italy teaching dance through English.
She is very excited to be working with backstreet and looks forward to a year full of dance and fun for all her students.
Karen teaches Dance Hunz on Wednesdays 5.30-6.30pm & 6.30-8.00pm
